Pre-conference Workshop I
Laryngeal imaging (stroboscopy & FEES) and its interpretation
This one-day workshop is targeted for speech pathologists who work with individuals with voice and swallowing disorders. The workshop includes guided hands-on experience in flexible and rigid laryngoscopy, stroboscopy and FEES. Participants will have hands-on practice in laryngeal imaging and interpretation. Limited seats are available in order to provide an optimise learning environment for participants.
Speaker: Professor Edie Hapner
Edie Hapner, Ph.D., is the Professor of Clinical Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California, United States. She is an internationally renowned researcher and speech-language pathologist in the field of voice and swallowing disorders. Prof. Hapner has published a competency based program for flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES) and developed a training DVD for FEES (by Plural Publishing Inc.).
